Baptism and Accidents

Well Aeowyn -- it's been a very crazy October. Mommy and daddy had a big scare of the weekend when mommy was carrying you and she stepped into a floor vent that gave way. You hit your little head on the floor and daddy and mommy rushed you to the hospital. It was a very scarey evening and we were so worried about you. When you were in the emergency room in Reston, they ordered a CT scan that showed a little bleeding in your brain on the left temporal side. They then ordered an ambulance to come and take you to Fairfax hospital -- (see attached picture). When we go there, you were all smiles and talked, purred and just your delightful self. They kept you overnight at the hospital where mommy and daddy slept next to you to watch over you. We both kept getting up all night to look after you and make sure you were ok. You were then released the next day and got to go home to see your brothers. This was definitely one of the scariest moments in mommy and daddy's lives and we're so blessed by God that you're safe.

In other news this month, we actually had your baptism in early October. We had all of your grandparents, aunties and uncles, and your godparents (Nisha, Ahmeet, and Veena) come to Denton where you daddy was baptised. Grandpa did the baptism and you were so calm through the whole ceremony. Afterwards, we all went over to the Narrows on Kent Island for lunch, where you were a little cranky because you were so sleepy. Little did we know that baptism would come in handy just about two weeks later! Not only did God bless us when he gave you to us Aeowyn, but he blessed you and watches over you.

Otherwise, you're about 13 lbs now and growing like a weed. you love to purr like a little kitten and squeak. You also have started trying to roll and roll on your side in your crib. Mommy is still nursing you up to five times a day and also introduced you to other foods aside from rice cereal -- and you seem to really love carrots at this point. Sometimes you get frustrated if mommy doesn't put the food in your mouth fast enough. In terms of sleeping, you're still not sleeping through the night and get up around midnight and 4:30am. You normally go to sleep around 7pm in your bouncy chair and love to hear mommy say"va va Vaa".

Talin and Rohin are very loving to you. Sometimes Talin puts his head in your lap to hug you and Rohin will come over and pet you on the head. You've definitely touched all of our lives in just 4 months of joining this world. We love you Aeowyn so much!
