Christmas 2010

It’s hard to believe that Christmas came and went so fast. You’re really getting so big Aeowyn. We recently took you to the doctor and found out that you are 90% for height – so you’re a big girl! Even though you are only 6 months – you are wearing 9 to 12 months clothing.

December has been a really busy month getting ready for the holidays. Everyone in the house had a stomach virus and you got that + a cold as well over the holidays – but you recovered great!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year – the best ever in fact! In fact, it was your 1st Christmas!!! All of our family was here to celebrate. For Christmas eve, we had dinner at Ammuma and Thatha’s house. Grandma and grandpa and some of your aunts and uncles came over as well. On Christmas day, mommy and daddy, grandma and grandpa were here to greet you, Talin and Rohin when you awoke to find all of the presents that Santa had left for you! You fell asleep in the beginning of opening presents and weren’t too excited about presents at this age – but you liked the wrapping paper and toys that made noises. You received many wonderful toys and clothes. Your favorite toy was a Magenta pink dog that you love to bite on. You also have two little teeth on your lower jaw now and love to chew on things.

In other news, you’re sleeping pretty well at night now and get up at one time at night – around 1pm. You’re eating three stage 2 meals a day and drink your milk still. Mommy and still feeding you once a day as well! You love your vegetables and breakfast but not a big meat / dinner eater. You’re quite the talker and love to make high pitched noises and fuss when you’re not around your brothers or mommy or daddy. You can really hold youself up on your hands and we think you will crawl very soon! You love tummy time and have so much fun rolling around. You have such pretty eyes and the jury is out as to whether they are brown or hazel yet. But you are such an adorable little baby girl and so sweet!

2011 going to be an awesome year and mommy and daddy look forward to seeing you grow and develop Aeowyn. Happy new year our little girl!

Thanksgiving 2010

Aeowyn our cute little girl, you’re such a sweet angel of a baby girl. You’re about 6 months now and are really becoming quite advanced. You’re always smiling at people and so delightful. The big news recently is that you started sleeping through the night (almost). This was a pretty big milestone that mommy can finally get a full night’s sleep after three years. You now eat three meals a day and are a big green bean fan. We also have you on meats now like turkey and rice (baby food of course). Mommy is still breast feeing you, which is keeping you nice and strong. You’ve been in pretty good health, but did have a urinary tract infection recently, which required us to take you back to the hospital. But you’re back in great shape.

You’re developing so fast now and not only smile, but you also laugh out loud – particularly if mommy or daddy play peek-a-boo. You love your bouncey but now love to be in a saucer. You are the type of little girl that doe not want to miss out on the action. You roll around all over your crib now when we put you down but your sleep schedule is becoming more consistent. You like to sleep around 6:30 and sleep till about 6:30 (sometimes waking up once). You also like to nap when your brothers do around 1 to 2pm. Your brothers love you so much and come over and pat you on your head. On the toy front, you’re really into rattles right now and mommy and daddy are trying to read books to you – which you seem to enjoy and look at. You seem to love TV at night when your brothers are watching things like freshbeat band or Dora.

We had a great 1st Thanksgiving together as a family and went to ammuma and tata’s house. We had guests during that time, including Chris Uncle and Maria Auntie along with their two children Ava and Layla. Thanksgiving was so wonderful with about 30 people came for Thanksgiving and it was so nice – all friends and family.

Also, we’re in high gear for Christmas and this past weekend, all of us went and got our Christmas tree. We went to this place that not only had trees but farm animals that your brothers got to feed and pet. I think you loved watching them but are too little to bring into the pen with us! So off mommy went to get the tree with you while daddy, Rohin and Talin went to play with the farm animals. We put up the Christmas tree and you just loved staring at it. We cannot wait to celebrate your 1st Christmas Aeowyen. You’re such a wonderful little girl and like we wrote in your brothers post – it’s so hard to believe what Christmas was like before mommy and daddy were blessed with you three in our lives.
